Damp Proofing Solutions For Ground And Masonry

Damp proof membranes are typically used below concrete slabs to form a continuous barrier against moisture rising from the ground. A properly installed DPM membrane helps protect internal finishes, floor coverings and insulation layers, particularly in ground-bearing floors and basements. Thickness and certification matter here, especially on commercial or inspected jobs, which is why BBA-approved membranes are commonly specified.

For masonry work, a DPC membrane is installed horizontally within brick or blockwork to stop moisture tracking upwards through capillary action. Supplied in roll form, DPC rolls are cut to width on site to suit cavity walls, piers and internal leafs.
